Minneapolis police are asking for help in finding a driver involved in an early morning hit-and-run that left one man dead Saturday.

Just after 2:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a man lying in the street near E. 32nd Street and Snelling Avenue S., near Hiawatha Avenue, in south Minneapolis, according to Minneapolis police. When police arrived, they found a 42-year-old man seriously injured. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he died. Due to the nature of the man's injuries, investigators believe he was struck by a vehicle.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver and vehicle.
