St. Paul police are seeking suspects in a robbery at a Highland Park Walgreens pharmacy Monday.

The robbery occurred at the Walgreens at 2099 Ford Parkway around 7:30 p.m. Two men jumped over the counter, shoved a pharmacy staffer against a locked cabinet and demanded pharmaceutical drugs, according to authorities.

The men demanded OxyContin, oxycodone, promethazine and a generic form of Xanax called alprazolam.

After they retrieved the drugs, the two men put them in a bag, crossed back over the counter and fled. No arrests have been made.

One suspect is described as a white male between 5 feet 11 and 6 feet tall in his late 20s to early 30s with a medium build. He had scruffy facial hair and wore a hooded sweatshirt pulled tight over his head, light pants, black leather gloves and sunglasses.

The other suspect is described as a black male between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 9 in his late 20s to early 30s and weighing approximately 250 pounds. He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and had scruffy facial hair.

There were other employees in the store, but no one was hurt.

Authorities are investigating whether the incident has any connection to a similar robbery in November at a nearby Target pharmacy. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call police at 651-291-1111.
