Minneapolis police have arrested two Minneapolis men in connection with a Wednesday homicide in south Minneapolis.

The 18-year-old and the 21-year-old were booked into the Hennepin County jail Saturday with no bail on suspicion of murder in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Jordan Carson Adams inside an apartment in the 2100 block of 3rd Avenue S.

Adams was shot in his abdomen about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and later died at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the county medical examiner's office.

Police said the shooting appeared to involve people who knew each other. An operations manager for the building's owner told the Star Tribune that neither the victim nor the shooter were tenants and that neighbors had complained about traffic and noise coming from the residence. A resident also described hearing arguing in the moments before a gunshot rang out, a bullet piercing her wall.

The shooting was the city's ninth homicide of 2015. On May 3, 15-year-old Brandon D. Wren was killed when his 14-year-old brother accidentally shot him with a gun the two found while playing at their home.
