On the day after a historic victory for Republicans in the Minnesota Senate, Senate Majority Leader Larry Pogemiller said Wednesday he would not seek the DFL Senate minority leader position.
"In light of last night's results and upon reflection this morning, I wanted you to know I have decided not to seek the position of Minority Leader for our caucus," Pogemiller said in a statement.
"No matter how committed we were or hard we all worked, in the end it didn't matter, the result is the result. We were not able to bring an exemplary group of legislators across the finish line," he added.
