"Around the block works, 100 miles does, too. The distance, destination and doughnut selections are up to you."

Those are the words of inspiration from the pledge page on 30DaysofBiking.com. The pledges are coming from all corners — from Moscow to Minneapolis to Fergus Falls — and it's this: To ride a bike every day in April.

Participants in 30 Days of Biking, which is in its seventh year, are also encouraged to share online with #30daysofbiking. There were more than 320 pledges from Minneapolis and about 120 from St. Paul as of Thursday morning. The biggest pledge cities in the state are Fergus Falls, Little Falls, Rochester, Bemidji, Hutchinson and Duluth, said director Patrick Stephenson.

Through its sponsorships, 30 Days of Biking is donating $1 to World Bicycle Relief for every two pledges.

A kickoff event in the Twin Cities is at 11 a.m. April 2 at Gold Medal Park in Minneapolis. People will meet up, and then roll out at noon, loop back toward the park, and end with music, food trucks and more at Multiple Sclerosis Society offices at 200 12th Avenue S. The route is online at bit.ly/30daybk.
