Before Amy Dunne went missing in the novel "Gone Girl," she was hanging out on Pinterest, like so many other Midwestern women.

Fall back into the twisted plot perusing her pinboards with titled "City Girl," "Call Me Missouri" and "The Bar." She's pinned recipes for boeuf bourguignon, homemade potato chips and lemon poppy seed muffins. Also, DIY projects involving painted maison jars and jewelry made from old brooches -- no word on whether she has tried or completed any of them.

It's clearly a marketing stunt for the recently released "Gone Girl" movie, but it's a fun one.

Not interest in "Gone Girl?" There are plenty of other star-studded boards tied to television shows.

Pinterest boards for "Scandal" showcase "Olivia Pope Style" with links to buy garments featured on the show. "Game of Thrones" boards offer "Westerosi Recipes" like Dany's Cupcake Heart. If "Retro Decor" is your thing, check boards for "Mad Men" to get inspiration.
