Sunday The winner of the much-coveted post-Super Bowl slot is "House" (9 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9) with all-star guest Mira Sorvino, who plays a psychiatrist trapped at the South Pole. Hey, it can't be any worse than fighting that giant bug in "Mimic."

Monday Shirley Jones, who has played everything from Marian the Librarian to Mama Partridge, adds soap opera diva to her résumé, appearing on "Days of Our Lives" (noon, KARE, Ch. 11) through Thursday. If this news does not trigger you to start humming "C'mon, Get Happy," you are beyond help.

Tuesday It's a grand night for professional channel surfers who also happen to be into politics. Coverage of "Super Tuesday" (7 p.m., various channels) should provide some of the most suspenseful drama of the season. There's too much action going on to settle on one network. Flip to your heart's content -- or at least until your thumb begs for mercy.

Wednesday How many different ways can Tyra Banks display attitude? Let me count them in "America's Next Top Model Special" (7 p.m., WUCW, Ch. 23), a look back at nine seasons of catfights and catwalks.

Thursday "Lipstick Jungle" (9 p.m. KARE, Ch. 11) is yet another attempt to recapture the magic of "Sex and the City" -- and it's also another failure. Even with Brooke Shields and "SATC" author Candace Bushnell on board, this is a fashion disaster. The only sparkle comes from Andrew McCarthy, doing a cuddlier version of Mr. Big and looking just as good as he did back when he was romancing Molly Ringwald.
