Craig Vanderah of Prior Lake:

1 Seeing Paul McCartney with my daughter. This was our third Paul show together — in '93, when Ana was 8; then again in '05, and this month at age 31. What a great way to share a love of music and a truly one-of-a-kind artist and human being with your daughter.

2 McCartney, Target Center. His infectious joy and musicality can't be surpassed.

3 McCartney's band, Target Center. Once again, the band plays like it's the first night they are touring and with enthusiasm and joy for every single song. Amazing! And they sound way bigger than five people onstage.

Jon Bream of the Star Tribune:

1 Beyoncé, "Lemonade." Jay Z or anybody else, don't mess with the Queen Bey. Her words slice and dice, and her music excites in various styles. This is one juicy album. And I haven't even had time to digest the hourlong movie that comes with it.

2 "The Book of Mormon," Orpheum Theatre. It has taken me too long to get to this riotous spoof. University of South Dakota grad Cody Jamison Strand is perfect as the quirky Elder Cunningham. I laughed out loud when he sang "I Am Africa/Just Like Bono."

3 Meghan Trainor pulls video of "Me Too." In the editing process, her waistline was trimmed by technology. An advocate of body acceptance, she insisted that the video be recalled. "I want my waist back," she demanded.
