The criminal sentencing of Wayzata businessman Tom Petters has been delayed a second time and is now scheduled for April 8 before U.S. District Judge Richard Kyle in St. Paul.

Petters was found guilty on 20 counts of mail and wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy in early December for his role directing a $3.65 billion Ponzi scheme.

The previous postponement was the result of scheduling conflicts for some of the attorneys involved in the case. No reason was stated on the notice filed Monday announcing the new sentencing date.
