PHILADELPHIA -- As we mentioned in the previous blog, the Vikings will be without quarterback Brett Favre, but running back Adrian Peterson is active for tonight's game against the Eagles.

Peterson was listed as questionable because of a right knee injury that kept him out of last week's game against the Bears. Peterson said the two extra days following the postponement helped him get ready for tonight's game.

His return is good news for rookie quarterback Joe Webb, who will make his first career start.

The Vikings other inactives are wide receiver Greg Lewis, wide receiver Hank Baskett, safety Madieu Williams, safety Tyrell Johnson, tackle Thomas Welch and defensive tackle Fred Evans. Rhett Bomar is the third quarterback.

Jamarca Sanford will start in place of Williams, who suffered a concussion last week. Coach Leslie Frazier said on Monday that Williams passed part of his concussion test, but he obviously did not make enough progress to be cleared to play.

The Eagles inactives are cornerback Brandon Hughes, cornerback Gerard Lawson, defensive end Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, linebacker Stewart Bradley, linebacker Keenan Clayton, tackle Austin Howard and guard Reggie Wells. Mike Kafka is the third quarterback.
