Adrian Peterson spent part of his Friday providing free coaching to 15 Oklahoma City high school students in Norman. Afterward the Vikings running back talked to reporters about a few subjects, including his problems with fumbling. These quotes come from a story on the Oklahoman website.

Peterson discussing his issues with holding onto the football: "The challenge began at the end of the season, putting those thoughts behind me. As far as fumbling, that's part of the game. Out there, I'm not tossing the balls to the guys. Some of these guys are making plays, striking the ball. But I know what I have to do as a player to help my team, to accomplish our ultimate goal, and that's to win the NFC North and win a Super Bowl. And that's really staying focused. You know, small things, where I can sharpen up." Peterson on the possibility of Brett Favre returning: "I saw him down in L.A. for the first time this offseason, down at the ESPYs. Looking in his eyes, I got the sense he was coming back. I'll be going down to his house, telling him, 'Favre, I need you back.' I grew up watching Favre. I'm as big a fan of his as the people that's watching him. People in Green Bay that's been watching him all his life. Just to have the opportunity to play with him and come up short, it would definitely feel good [if he came back] this year [and we] hoisted up that trophy [together] in Dallas, Texas." Peterson on how he would judge his cameo appearance on the HBO show "Entourage": "50-50. I'm always hard on myself. It was cool, though, being around the guys. It was cool. To me, when I look at it, my mind was telling me, some of the guys, when they show the back scene footage, those guys were more excited to see you, and it was vice versa for me. That's pretty much how it is in Hollywood. It was all fun." When it comes to Peterson's fumbling, what we still need to find out is what steps Peterson has taken to correct the problem. It's fine for him to say he has to stay focused but odds are it's going to take more than focus to fix what has become a real problem for the Pro Bowl running back.
