Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and wide receiver Sidney Rice are good friends off the field and extremely productive on it.

The teammates have been the top rushing and receiving duo in the NFL through six games. Peterson has an NFL-leading 618 rushing yards and Rice has 409 yards in receiving for a combined total of 1,027 yards. (Peterson has an NFL-leading 624 yards rushing in this week's stats but is going to have 6 yards taken away because he mistakenly was given credit for one of Chester Taylor's carries.) The Vikings will face an extremely productive duo on Sunday, when they go against Pittsburgh's Rashard Mendenhall and Hines Ward. Those two have combined for 948 yards, tied for third best in the NFL with the Giants' Ahmad Bradshaw and Steve Smith. Ward leads the NFL with 599 receiving yards and Mendnehall has rushed for 349 yards. The second-best tandem in the league is Cincinnati's Cedric Benson (531 yards rushing) and Chad Ochocinco (455 yards) with 986 yards between them.
