'Goldilocks & Little Red Riding Hood'

Two childhood favorites get the Ballet of the Dolls treatment in this new mash-up production. Choreographer Myron Johnson's experimental ballet troupe reexamines the fairy tales as modern-day cautionary tales. In a family-friendly departure for the typically bawdy Dolls, the show begins with Red and Goldlocks crossing paths in the woods, and their stories intertwine as they happen upon a nasty wolf and a family of bears. Expect the usual tenets of a Dolls production: a soundtrack that juxtaposes electronic music with classical; campy costumes; a healthy dose of dark humor, and spotless performances.
