COVER GIRL: Reese Witherspoon. graces the cover of the May edition of Vogue. In an interview, the Oscar-winning actress mourns the loss of her privacy, saying she sometimes sits in her car crying because she cannot go out in public as much as she'd like. Having said that, Witherspoon says she wouldn't trade her life.

THE OLD BALLGAME: Baseball is more than a pastime for singer Carly Simon. Her version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" is included on a CD that accompanies a new picture book of the same name. Simon recalled that her family was friendly with Jackie Robinson's family when she was a girl and that he used to take her to games and call her his "lucky charm."

GOING GOTTI? Lindsay Lohan appeared at a press event in New York for the upcoming movie "Gotti: Three Generations," and producer Marc Fiore said "we are definitely in talks" about casting Lohan as Victoria Gotti, who also was at the event, People.com reports.
