Neither Kevin Garnett nor Nikola Pekovic are currently available to play on both ends of back-to-back games. For Garnett, it's because, at 39, he is battling soreness. For Pekovic -- who has played in three games since returning from Achilles surgery -- he's still in the process of returning to 100 percent.
So, with the Wolves hosting Oklahoma City tonight and playing in Houston tomorrow, the Wolves are going to play Garnett tonight while Pekovic rests. Tomorrow Pekovic will play while Garnett rests.
That way coach Sam Mitchell will an extra big men at his disposal -- along with Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng -- in each game.
