A man in his wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle on Hwy. 25 in Wright County on Saturday morning, authorities said.
Robert Haire, 51, of Monticello, was heading north in the right-turn lane near Kjellberg Court at 9:22 a.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck traveling in the same direction, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A 29-year-old woman from Buffalo was driving the Dodge Dakota. No alcohol was detected on either person involved.
The scene is near commercial stores and restaurants on both sides of the highway.
