Police in Albert Lea, Minn., are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian outside a McDonald's on Wednesday night.

Authorities said they are searching for a blue Ford pickup truck that is thought to have struck and killed a woman at the intersection of Main and Katherine streets about 6:30 p.m. The woman, whose identity has yet to be released, was found dead in the median when police arrived.

Also Wednesday, a 23-year-old woman from Zimmerman, Minn., was killed in a Mille Lacs County crash when her vehicle ran off the road near Princeton, Minn.

The woman, whose identity will be released Friday after family notification, was traveling south on Hwy. 169 when she veered right and hit a tree. She was taken to Fairview Northland Medical Center, where she later died, according to the State Patrol. Authorities said the victim was wearing her seat belt.
