Adreian Payne broke out of his shooting slump as he went 8-for-16 from the field and scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Timberwolves past San Antonio 80-71 in the first round of the Las Vegas Summer League tournament.
Tyus Jones scored 15 points and added nine assists for the Wolves, who next take on Memphis onThursday at 3:30 p.m.
Kris Dunn, who suffered a concussion in the Wolves' loss on Sunday, did not play for the second straight game.
