A few months back, Gov. Tim Pawlenty said he'd slow down his political travel during the legislative session.

The exchange:

Q: Are you planning on slowing down or changing your travel schedule nationally during the session?

Pawlenty: Yes. But I mean, keep in mind the message isn't that. Its: Does the work get done? And again given the number of hours I've put in there is no work that doesn't get done.

Here's Pawlenty's slower out-of-state travel schedule for the coming months:

Feb. 18, Washington, DC -- evening reception at the Conservative Political Action Committee conference

Feb. 19, Washington, DC -- speaking at the Conservative Political Action Committee conference.

Feb. 26, St. Charles, Missouri -- speaking at the Missouri Lincoln Days gathering.

Feb. 27, Las Vegas, NV -- speaking at the Nevada Republican Party dinner.

March 6, Dallas, Texas -- "special guest" at the Dallas County Republican fundraiser.

March 24, Washington, DC -- featured at the Susan B. Anthony fundraiser.

March 25, Manchester, New Hampshire -- keynoter at the Manchester Republican Committee Lincoln-Reagan Day dinner.

April 8-11, New Orleans, Louisiana -- speaking at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. (Not clear which day he is speaking.)

This only includes trips that have officially been announced.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
