Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty is out with a new TV ad that features a backdrop of the "miracle" 1980 gold-medal winning U.S. hockey team.
Pawlenty narrates the ad, titled "The American Comeback," as it cuts between him and footage of the 1980 team, along with Al Michaels's famous "Do you believe in miracles?" call.
"Out here, you're tested," Pawlenty says. "You face an opponent experts say can't be beat. You fight, you bleed, you prevail. Our country's done but we're not out."
Pawlenty then lists what he says are his achievements and victories: taking on the unions, shutting down the government and turning Minnesota more conservative.
