It looks like former Gov. Tim Pawlenty's campaign found some change under the couch cushions at campaign headquarters – $300,000 worth.

The campaign will report today that it raised $4.5 million in the second quarter, not $4.2 million as the campaign initially announced earlier this month just after the fundraising period ended .

The extra $300,000 raised from April-June puts Pawlenty on par with Ron Paul for second place among 2012 GOP presidential hopefuls, though everyone trails Mitt Romney's $18 million haul.

Pawlenty spokesman Alex Conant said the $300,000 difference was discovered when the campaign finalized its accounting.

Pawlenty has $2 million cash on hand, though only $1.4 million is available because the rest was raised for the general election, according to reports.

As for Rep. Michele Bachmann, CBS News reported late Thursday that the Minnesota Republican raised $4 million for the second quarter, which includes a $2 million transfer from her congressional committee. A spokeswoman did not respond to requests for confirmation.

Second quarter Federal Election Commission reports for all federal candidates are due today.
