In his latest national fundraising plea, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty brags about his lengthy list of vetoes and asks donors to "Fill the Veto Pen."

Of course, unless he calls a special session, his Minnesota vetoing days are over. His vetoes have long been loved by Republicans and loathed by Democrats. (Thursday Republican Tom Emmer, who wants to suceed Pawlenty in the governor's office, said vetoes generally were a sign that people aren't working together. "We've got to get past that," he said on MPR. "We've got to start working together and make sure we don't have to rely on vetoes, that we can all get together to make this thing run.")
