Due to inclement weather, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has delayed the start of a paving project on Hwy. 95 between Hwy. 8 and the Sunrise River.
When conditions improve, MnDOT will start the project, which also includes replacement of culverts, guardrail, curb and gutter. Rumble strips also will be installed.
When the project gets underway, Hwy. 95 will be closed to through traffic. A new beginning date has not been announced.
The portion of Hwy. 95 in downtown Taylors Falls will remain open to two lanes of traffic, but parking will not be available. Area residences and businesses will remain accessible throughout the project.
The project is expected to last until August.
