The lineup for the fifth annual Pitchfork Music Festival was announced this morning with Pavement, Modest Mouse and LCD Soundsystem as the big names. Scheduled July 16-18 in Chicago's Union Park, the three-day sunburnathon for pasty musicheads is only the second U.S. gig currently on the books for the reuniting Pavement (after Coachella in April; they have many gigs overseas in between). Stephen Malkmus & Co. are playing the first dayof the fest and have a show the next night in Toronto, so I wouldn't bet on a Minneapolis gig around the Chicago appearance. But you never know.

The rest of the lineup for Pitchfork 2010 so far confirmed includes St. Vincent, Raekwon, Cass McCombs, Here We Go Magic, Lightning Bolt and Sleigh Bells -- not exactly wow-inducing, but many more acts will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets go on sale today at noon. They're $40 for a single day or $90 for all three days -- a pretty great deal, really, if you have somewhere to crash in Chicago.
