Authorities have identified the wrong-way driver who had been drinking and died in a crash with a bigger vehicle northwest of the Twin Cities.
Brittany N. Ranck, 31, of Avon, Minn., was killed late Friday in the collision on Hwy. 10, just west of 100th Avenue SE. in Clear Lake Township, according to the State Patrol.
Ranck was driving her car about 11:25 p.m. westbound in the eastbound lanes and struck a pickup truck driven by Dustin J. Gilyard, 27, of St. Cloud, the patrol said.
Gilyard was taken to a nearby hospital with noncritical injuries.
