• Concordia (St. Paul) scored an all-time men's basketball playoff shocker, winning 86-78 at MSU Moorhead on Wednesday. Concordia was 2-20 in the Northern Sun and the Dragons 19-3.
• Carleton, with coach Guy Kalland in his 33rd year, started 1-6 in the MIAC, then won 14 in a row before losing in the playoff semifinals.
• The St. Thomas men won their 33rd MIAC indoor track meet title and the women their 17th in a row, and 30th overall, this weekend.
