This has been one of the wildest weeks in the NFL.

In the days after the lockout, there have been hours where things have moved at a frenetic pace and there have been hours where little to anything has happened.

The Vikings' day on Friday has fallen into the latter category with very little information coming out of Winter Park. (That doesn't mean nothing is going on but it appears to be pretty quiet).

The silence will end at 5 p.m. today when the Vikings can announce they have traded for quarterback Donovan McNabb (Washington) and signed wide receiver Devin Aromashodu (Chicago) and nose tackle Remi Ayodele (New Orleans). McNabb is expected to cost the Vikings a sixth-round pick in 2012 and a conditional sixth-round pick the following year.

As for any other moves, the Vikings continue to explore the market for wide receivers. ESPN New York reports that the Jets are interested in wide receiver James Jones, meaning that at least three teams (Vikings and Packers) are in the bidding for Jones.

No word yet on Jets free agent Braylon Edwards, who would bring some baggage with him to Minnesota, or Malcom Floyd, who has been with the Chargers. It wouldn't be surprising if the Vikings add a name to the list of free agents they obtain when an announcement is made after 5 p.m. but we'll just have to wait and see.
