Party a little too hearty tonight? Catch the bus for free

December 31, 2018 at 10:39PM

If you'd rather not get behind the wheel tonight, New Year's Eve — for whatever reason! — you can ride public transportation for free.

Metro Transit and its partners are offering free rides from 6 p.m. Monday to 3 a.m. Tuesday on all routes — buses, light rail and Northstar, including Anoka County Transit and Minnesota Valley Transit Authority.

Simply hop onboard and take a seat for free. The rides provide a safe alternative for those who are out celebrating, or who would just prefer not to drive alongside those who are.

Miller Free Rides is a community service program in partnership with Metro Transit, J.J. Taylor Distributing Co. and Miller Lite. For more information, call 1-800-FREE-RIDES or go to MillerLiteFreeRides.com/.
