I've been seeing the "Keep Calm and Carry On" signs for awhile now.

They were originally used as part of morale boosting campaign in Great Britain back in WWII. (You can read the full story behind the posters here)

But I think it applies quite brilliantly to parenting don't you?

It is sound advice decades later, albeit under much different circumstances.

With daily toddler tantrums, sibling squabbles and such. It's hard to not lose your cool (and believe me, I have).

But really, I know it's best not to join in and escalate the situation.

After seeing the sign again I finally just picked one up and put it in my shopping cart. I found it in the dorm room decor part of the store, but I thought it work just as well in my kitchen (or workplace) as a gentle reminder.

I plan on looking at the poster to center me.

Keep calm and carry on.

Cheers!
