Not even former Twins are faring well in All-Star Game fan balloting. Boston's David Ortiz fell to second at designated hitter in fan voting for American League All-Star starters in results announced Monday.

The first results were announced last week, and Ortiz was the leader at DH, providing at least one familiar face for hometown fans for the July 15 All-Star Game at Target Field. But Ortiz fell to second behind Baltimore's Nelson Cruz this week.

The Twins, for the second week in a row, had two players — Kurt Suzuki (fourth at catcher) and Brian Dozier (fourth at second base) — among the top five at their position in the voting.

Mike Trout leads in all votes with 1,361,649, but the Angels star has less than a 10,000-vote lead over Toronto outfielder Jose Bautista. The only other player with more than 1 million votes is Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter with 1,007,968.

The AL and NL teams will be announced during the weekend of July 5-6.
