Opening Day: The fun begins

Quick update from Anaheim

April 5, 2010 at 6:41PM

ANAHEIM, CALIF. -- Sitting in my hotel room with Cardinals/Reds on the tube, writing an early story for tonight's first editions. Hard to believe Opening Day is finally here.

The rain here has stopped. Looks like it'll be dry and about 57 degrees when Jered Weaver throws the first pitch to Denard Span tonight. Check back later for the starting lineups and other pregame notes.

Enjoy this, baseball fans. Best day of the year.
