Opening Tuesday: Sure, Alan Menken's Academy Award-winning score is lush, Ann Hould-Ward's Tony-winning costumes are lavish and the dancing cutlery is entertaining. But there's an overlooked aspect to the fairy tale of "Beauty and the Beast." The plot gives hope to ugly guys everywhere, and to those who love them. In this Disney staple, the Beast is really a prince under a spell. If he can learn to love and accept love from the young princess, Belle, everything will turn out right for eternity. Right. (7:30 p.m. Tue.-Thu., 8 p.m. Fri., 2 & 8 p.m. Sat., 1 & 6:30 p.m. next Sun. $44-$99. Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 1-800-982-2787 or www.hennepin theatretrust.org.)
