Kevin Love's double-double streak kept going Wednesday night at Staples Center to 29 consecutive games.

So, too, though, did the Los Angeles Clippers' winning ways.

The Clippers' 126-111 victory over the Wolves was their third straight, their fifth in the last six games and their 11th in the last 15 and it came on the same night that Blake Griffin's own double-double streak ended at 27.

Love afterward gladly said he'd swap and his weary eyes after yet another loss looked like he truly meant.

Love and Griffin were the first players since Bill Walton and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the 1976-77 season to have at least 22 consecutive double-doubles each.

"That's great company," Love said.

Granted, the Clippers have built a 16-25 record on a home-heavy schedule. They'll get their real test in February, when they play 11 consecutive road games (OK, so one's against the Lakers at Staples) while the Grammys and the NBA All-Star Game takes over their arena.

The Clippers were 13-14 during Griffin's 27-game streak.

The Wolves are 6-23 during Love's streak, which still is eight away from Kevin Garnett's franchise-record streak of 37 consecutive double-double games.

"That shows you right there that it's more than one guy," Love said. "It's a collective unit. Stats can help, but at the end of the day it takes a full-team effort. We need to keep getting better.

"I need to keep getting better. Our personnel needs to keep better. Coaching needs to keep getting better. We all need to pick it up and get on the same page."

Here's the game story from Wednesday's game.

That's it from L.A. here on Wednesday night.

The Wolves fly home Thursday and finally have a break in a game schedule that has seen them play every other day since New Year's Day.

They don't play again until Monday against Houston at Target Center, although you can bet Kurt Rambis will use this time to finally get in some good practice time.

Wolves are traveling Thursday and won't practice.

Kent will pick up the team Friday.

And I'll blog at you later.
