New Hampshire State Police say a motorist in a two-vehicle crash on Route 4 in Rollinsford that took the life of a Minnesota woman who was on her honeymoon has been arrested in her death.

Police say the motorist's vehicle struck the other car about 4:30 p.m. Saturday and the motorist fled. Matthew Tsopas, 43, of Somersworth, N.H., was located later and taken to a hospital in Dover, where he was charged with negligent homicide, felony DWI and felony conduct after an accident.

Police said the passenger in the other vehicle, 30-year-old Leah Fonda, of St. Paul, was killed. Her new husband, 30-year-old Brian Preiss, also of St. Paul, was driving their vehicle. He was treated at a local hospital, then moved to a hospital in Massachusetts. Police described his injuries as serious.

Teen to be tried as adult in Army vet's slaying

A Duluth teen charged with killing a U.S. Army veteran who suffered more than 50 wounds to his head, face, neck and back will be tried as an adult.

Enrique "Ricky" Robert Giner IV had been charged in a juvenile delinquency petition with second-degree murder in the March slaying of Bryan Alan Starnes, 27, in Duluth. Giner, who was 17 at the time, turned 18 on July 7.

A judge accepted Giner's waiver into adult court and ordered him moved from Arrowhead Juvenile Center to the St. Louis County Jail. He will be charged with the same crime in an adult criminal complaint.

Starnes was an Army veteran who served a tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Minnesotan's trial in photo store killings to begin

The trial for a Minnesota man accused of killing a photography store owner and his son last September in La Crosse, Wis., is set to begin this week.

Prosecutors are expected to argue that outstanding debt from a prior felony case drove Jeffrey Lepsch, a hobby photographer, to rob May's Photo on Sept. 15 and shoot 56-year-old Paul Petras and his 19-year-old son A.J.

Jury selection is set for Tuesday and Lepsch's trial is expected to last nine days.

His three public defenders have not revealed the defense.

The 40-year-old from Dakota, Minn., is charged in La Crosse County with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, armed robbery with use of force and possession of a firearm.

Lepsch remains jailed on a $2 million cash bond.
