One person died when a fire broke out at a Wayzata apartment building early Wednesday evening, according to police in the west metro city.
Fire crews responded to an apartment in the 400 block of Rice Street, where a fatality was discovered, police said. The call came in just after 5 p.m., they said. No further information was released.
The state fire marshal is investigating.
