A prom for all Last month there was the punk-rock prom. This month, we've got the Goth Prom. Held at the Saloon, the sixth-annual event bills itself as a celebration of "diversity within subcultures." Meaning: Wear whatever you want. Each Goth Prom has a theme. This year's is called "Night Shadow: the four elements of alchemy." Last year, more than 900 people attended. Music by DJs Oxygen and Nitrogen.

Pub crawling The weather is warmer, so it's time for another northeast pub crawl (the area sees several each year). This one, the 2009 Nordeast Pub Crawl, is led by two mysterious fellows named Kingsley and Benedict. It starts at the 331 Club at 3:31 p.m. Saturday and moves on to such bars as Mayslack's, Knight Cap, Jimmy's, Grumpy's and others. It ends at Elsie's around 1 a.m.

Acme staying in Minneapolis It looks like the Acme comedy club isn't going anywhere after all. It was rumored last year that owner Louis Lee was looking to relocate to St. Paul. He said he'll definitely be staying in Minneapolis. He recently signed a 10-year lease for the club's longtime downtown location. Acme's stability is good news for comedy fans, who will get another big option when Rick Bronson's House of Comedy opens this summer in the Mall of America. Lee has welcomed the new club. He said he had dinner with Bronson last week to talk about ways to build a more vibrant scene.
