Dance doubleheader

Choreographers Sharon Picasso and Anat Shinar share a program this week for Red Eye Theater's New Work, 4 Weeks festival. Picasso's "Speculative Sentence" plays with chance, with various light sources — including motion detector and handheld devices — randomly revealing or hiding four dancers. Shinar's "Here's How (Refuted)" draws on self-help books for a piece revealing her own struggles with anxiety. (8 p.m. Thu.- Sat., 7 p.m. Sun., Red Eye Theater, 15 W. 14th. St., Mpls., $18, pay what you can Thu., 612-870-0309, redeyetheater.org.)

The talented cast, directed by Ebony Noelle Golden, includes Aimee K. Bryant, Mankwe Ndosi and vocal powerhouse PaviElle French. (7:30 p.m. Fri.-Sat., 3 p.m. Sun. Ends June 24.
