"Eleanor's Cabinet" is a whimsical, poignant play infused with poetry, games, illusions and memories. Julian McFaul plays Crabby Nicodemus, who must help Old Eleanor (Martha Goetsch) fill her cabinet with her memories before he can go play. Dancing, rhyming McFaul, a hilarious mix of nervousness and playfulness, invokes Eleanor at four different life stages, from second grade to old age, to recall memories like the discovery of how imagination can shape life and the world around us. Through Michael Sommers' projections, lighting, shadow puppetry and wordplay, a vivid world of dreams springs to life. Charming cherry puppets, dancing dishes and childhood friends fill Eleanor's cabinet with the wonders of her life. This show will delight ages 5 to 95.
