A 22-year-old woman was grabbed sexually in a Stillwater grocery store parking lot by an employee who was arrested and confessed to similar acts in the same location and elsewhere, authorities said Friday.

Reuben Ramcharit, 19, of Somerset, Wis., was charged in the incident at the Cub Foods in Stillwater as well as one last weekend inside Rosedale Center in Roseville. Ramcharit was in the Washington County jail Friday afternoon.

Ramcharit was fired when Cub learned of the allegations against him, according to a company spokesman.

The latest incident occurred early Wednesday afternoon outside the Cub Foods, just east of Stillwater Boulevard and north of Hwy. 36, police said.

According to the gross-misdemeanor charge filed in Washington County, police received a report about 1 p.m. that a man had groped a woman between her legs and rubbed up against her as she walked to her vehicle in the Cub parking lot. The man had walked away without saying anything.

Surveillance video showed a man walking and stopping behind the victim and then walking back and entering the store through the employee break room.

A member of store security recognized Ramcharit in the video as an employee of the store. Ramcharit was arrested while on duty and admitted that he had groped two other women as well as the woman who reported it the day he was captured on video.

He also told police that he had been arrested at the Roseville shopping center on March 30 for similar behavior. He was charged with criminal sexual conduct and had an active warrant out for his arrest.

"Cub was instrumental in the identification and apprehension" of the suspect, said Sgt. Jeff Stender.

Police said the other victims in Stillwater have yet to come forward. Anyone with information about the incidents is encouraged to call police at 651-351-4900.
