2:03On its 25th anniversary Thursday, the Minnesota Lottery is making over its logo and revealed it outside Target Field with the help of a performance artist.
The logo's first makeover was brought alive by artist David Garibaldi on the plaza outside the home of the Minnesota Twins. Specifically, Garibaldi created the image through his body movement and brushes set to music.
Adults attending the Thursday afternoon game were given special-edition anniversary lottery scratch tickets.
While the freebies were capped at the first 20,000 adults arriving at Target Field, the weather and the team's sub-.500 record spared lottery officials from the prospect of running out. The team announced attendance of 20,507, the smallest in Target Field history, and it appeared that maybe slightly more than half actually showed up.
In its quarter-century, the Minnesota Lottery has had $9.78 billion in sales, paid out $5.8 billion in prizes and turned over $2.38 billion to the state.
