The Timberwolves’ summer-league team is set. The roster that features draft picks Josh Okogie and Keita Bates-Diop as well as former G Leaguer Amile Jefferson and two-way signee Jared Terrell will begin play in Las Vegas on Friday.

They’ll play Denver then at 10 p.m. Central time on NBA TV. The second game is Sunday at 2 p.m. vs. Toronto (NBA TV) and the finale is Monday at 10 p.m. (ESPNU).

Their 2017 first-round pick Justin Patton will miss summer-league play for the second consecutive year because of a second foot surgery.

The team will be coached this time not by Ryan Saunders, but by player-development coach John Lucas, who will assume a bigger coach role now that assistant Rick Brunson is gone.
