Saw this at my local Chinese restaurant the other day, and it gave me pause. The sign is nine feet tall:

Helpful advice: the moment you say "almost" people will want to know "how much?"

The rest of the enormous sign is a bit confusing:

Wouldn't it just be better to say "No MSG," instead of admitting that your food has a flavor enhancer? Granted, the enhancer that is custom designed for Chinese restaurant, but still. At least we know what MSG is; this stuff could be powdered tiger claw, for all we know.

I wasn't aware MSG had safety issues.

WHAT SAFETY ISSUES? Now I am worried about the safety issues. Is the MSG volatile and unstable, and prone to exploding?

In Szechuan dishes, perhaps, but it's time-delayed.
