Oh, no!: Wolves waive Stiemsma

Goodbye to D League player

September 10, 2010 at 5:26PM

So...what was your favorite Greg Stiemsma moment?

The Wolves this morning waived the D League player and former Badger they signed before the season's final game in April.

He never played a minute as a Timberwolf, unless you count Las Vegas Summer League play.

So why did they sign them anyway?

Two reasons:

They wanted a summer workout partner for Al Jefferson, a job no longer required obviously.

And just in case they needed his non-guaranteed contract to make a big summer trade work, one that never came.
