Breaking from health care for a moment...

Rep. Jim Oberstar took a fresh swipe at the Obama administration this weekend over their attempts to delay his sweeping transportation reauthorization bill that would, among other things, restructure the Department of Transportation. It is estimated to cost upwards of $450 billion.

After a reported "shouting match" this winter with Larry Summers of Obama's Council of Economic Advisers and some heated press releases / public statements, Oberstar renewed the fight on TPT's Almanac.

This time, however, he said he wants Summers out of the White House all together and back at Harvard where he once served as president.

"Send Larry Summers back to Harvard," Oberstar said on the program. "Get him out of the Council of Economic Advisers. Put an engineer in charge. We can move this bill along. We can do it before Christmas."
