It looks like Vikings could be seriously shorthanded against the Lions this weekend.

Four Vikings starters sat out today's practice, making it a full week without practicing for the banged-up starting quartet of outside linebacker Anthony Barr, defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, safety Robert Blanton and left guard Charlie Johnson.

Under coach Mike Zimmer, the Vikings have not had a player miss all three days of practice then play on Sunday — not even veteran outside linebacker Chad Greenway back in October.

Barr and Floyd are dealing with nagging knee injuries. Barr sat out last week's win over the Jets. Floyd has played the past two weeks, but didn't make it through either game, and with the Vikings officially eliminated from playoff contention because the Rams lost last night, it probably makes sense just to let those two rest up as opposed to risking further damage.

Blanton (ankle and knee) and Johnson (ankle) were injured in the win over the Jets.

We get the injury report in a couple of hours. I'd expect these guys to be questionable at best.
