MADISON, Wis. — Not guilty pleas have been entered on behalf of a former Mount Horeb police lieutenant accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.

Dane County Judge Ellen Berz entered the pleas for 44-year-old Dennis Jenks Thursday. Jenks is accused of repeatedly assaulting the runaway who had moved into the officer's apartment. Jenks is also charged with sexual exploitation of a child and possessing child pornography.

The State Journal (http://bit.ly/13qn25Z ) says another man, the former music director at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Middleton, has pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting the same child from Beloit, who was living with Jenks at the time. James Gillespie is to be sentenced Oct. 4.
