Northern Minnesota crash kills Apple Valley man, injures his two children

A 38-year-old Apple Valley man died Friday in a head-on collision that seriously injured his two children and another driver, who were hospitalized.

About 2 p.m. Friday, a Ford Fusion driven by Alice Lemcke, 67, of Bigfork crossed the center line on Hwy. 2 about 20 miles southeast of Grand Rapids, striking a Ford Mustang driven by Aeron Hammargren of Apple Valley, according to the State Patrol.
