What's up with the Bears' Devin Hester? One of the best returners in NFL history ranking 12th in punt returns with a 9.0-yard average? Don't worry. He's starting to warm up just in time to face the Vikings in two weeks. The Bears were excited to see flashes of the old Devin when he planted his foot and burst for a season-high 44-yard gain against the Titans last week.

The Packers went eight games without an offensive lineman missing a single snap. But they've used this bye week to deal with the probability that right tackle Bryan Bulaga could miss a significant amount of time because of a hip injury suffered last week against Arizona. The injury moves left guard T.J. Lang to right tackle and backup Evan Dietrich-Smith to left guard. It also puts undrafted rookie Don Barclay as the next man up if there's another injury up front.

In eight games, the Lions have started eight different combinations in the secondary. Six guys who have started games have also missed time. Safety Louis Delmas missed five games. Cornerback Bill Bentley has missed four and is out for the season. Safety Ricardo Silva started the year on the practice squad but has started three games. And yet the Lions rank seventh on defense and eighth against the pass.
