Fire. Officers responded to a report of a fire alarm at a home in the 7300 block of Deer Pass Drive. They found that the smoke detectors needed batteries.

Suspicious activity. A man wearing blaze orange gear was reported looking at and commenting on a pet turkey in the 12000 block of Margo Avenue. The man told authorities he was in the area practicing his turkey calls for hunting.

FALCON HEIGHTS

MARCH 9

Suspicious activity. Police observed a man pushing a shopping cart down the street in the area of Larpenteur Avenue and Holton Street. He explained that he was taking his groceries to the bus stop. Police told him that he wasn't being safe and that he would need to return the cart to the store.

HUGO

MARCH 8

Suspicious activity. A ceiling access panel to an attic was reported missing from a home in the 15000 block of Glenbrook Avenue. The home was checked but no signs of entrance from the attic or anywhere else were found. The movement of the panel was attributed to the wind.

MAPLEWOOD

Shoplifting. A loss prevention officer stopped a woman trying to steal crab legs from Cub Foods, 2390 White Bear Av. The crab legs were recovered but the woman got away.

MOUNDS VIEW

MARCH 13

Warrant. A 49-year-old woman was arrested for a Hennepin County warrant at the Mermaid, 2200 Mounds View Blvd.

Drugs. An 18-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance near County Road H and Mounds View Boulevard.

Property damage. A vehicle was keyed in the 1300 block of Piper Drive.

Littering complaint. Authorities checking on a littering report in the 1900 block of Barry Drive found a Sunday newspaper in its plastic bag lying in the street.

RAMSEY

MARCH 1

Vehicle lockout. Officers responded to a report of a child left inside a locked vehicle in the 13900 block of Garnet Terrace NW. An officer unlocked the car and collected the fee.

Suspicious vehicle. Officers responded to a report of a sports-utility vehicle parked for two hours in the 15300 block of Iguana Street NW. They found that a private investigator was working in the area.

ST. ANTHONY

FEB. 26

Theft. Hair extensions were cut from a secure rack and stolen from Sally Beauty Supply, 2701 39th Av.

MARCH 2

Public intoxication. A 55-year-old man was found passed out in the bathroom of Cub Foods, 3930 Silver Lake Road The man, who had a blood alcohol reading of 0.16, was uncooperative and refused to go to detox. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

MARCH 11

Theft. Two floor jacks and a leaf blower were stolen from an open garage in the 2600 block of Murray Avenue.
