Traffic arrest. A 72-year-old woman was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk in the area of Larpenteur Avenue and Pascal Street.

APRIL 15
Traffic violation. A deputy observed a driver with her cellphone resting on the steering wheel while pulling up to a stop sign in the area of Stillwater and Wildwood roads. After she explained that she was texting her mother, the deputy thanked her for being honest and cited her for texting while driving.

Suspicious activity. A vehicle was reported circling the parking lot of O.H. Anderson Elementary School, 666 S. Warner Av. It was determined that an occupant in the vehicle was teaching the other how to use a stick shift.

Traffic violation. A 30-year-old man was cited for an instructional permit violation and failing to yield on a left turn after nearly causing an accident in the 100 block of McCarron Street.

Disturbing the peace. A 56-year-old woman was arrested for violation of an order for protection in the 7700 block of Groveland Road.

Burglary. An electronic game system was stolen from an apartment in the 5700 block of Quincy Street.

Criminal damage to property. The passenger side door lock was drilled out of a vehicle in the 700 block of 5th Street. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Burglary. Guns and electronics were stolen from a home in the 21600 block of Jarvis Street NW. Forced entry was gained through the front door.

APRIL 8
Check welfare. Officers responded to a report of a 911 hang-up call in the 15300 block of Okapi Street NW. It was determined that the dog had hit the 911 button.
APRIL 9
Animal complaint. Eight dead ducks were reported near a brush pile on property in the 16500 block of Geranium Street NW. The state Department of Natural Resources was notified.
APRIL 13
Animal complaint. Horses were reported on the loose in the 16300 block of Quicksilver Street NW. The owner was given a warning.
APRIL 17
Assist public. Officers responded to a report of a locked vehicle containing an infant outside a home in the 14300 block of Waco Street NW. They were unable to unlock the vehicle.

Animal concern. A resident in the 10000 block of 202nd Street reported that a loose pig was in their yard and scaring their dog. The pig's owner was contacted and came over to pick up the animal.
